Make more. Doubt less. Create freely.
A short, practical course for artists who start too much, finish too little, and want a clear way back to focused momentum.
Something is getting between you and the work you know you’re capable of.
It may be distraction. It may be self-doubt. It may be overthinking, avoidance, or too many ideas pulling you off track. Maybe it has been going on for years. Are you:
an artist with too many unfinished ideas
feeling scattered and want to regain focus
starting strong but losing momentum
looking for practical tools, not vague encouragement?
You do not lack talent. You need a way through what keeps interfering with your creative work.
If you are an artist and you are ready to deal with that honestly, this is where you begin.
There is hope.
But you've probably been given the wrong advice.
When artists are struggling, they’re often told to just keep going and trust it will come.
Paint more. Sculpt more. Throw more.
It's well-meaning advice. And, yes doing the work helps you improve your craft.
But when it comes to getting focused, managing distractions, and building real creative confidence that advice falls short.
What you need is a clearer way to understand what is pulling you off track, and a practical way back into your work.
“I help artists stop chasing distractions and silence self-doubt so they can finally finish their work and build a portfolio they are proud to share.”
You’re stuck. I get it.
Here’s the course that helps.
A 5-Day Creative Focus Reset
In this course, you will:
identify what is most important to you as an artist by doing a design investigation and aligning your values to your work.
identify what is pulling you off track
reconnect with the work that matters most
learn a simple reset tool for distraction and drift
build momentum you can actually sustain
It has videos, audio downloads and practical workbooks across three modules to help you find focus, build confidence and get back to making the work that matters.
Hi. I’m Bob
That's me in my studio, where I've had to learn, sometimes the hard way, how to manage the challenges of being a working artist.
I’m also the host of Colour and Ceramics Podcast featuring candid conversations with ceramic artists from around the world.
Here's something that might surprise you. Even after a long career in psychology, I struggled with creative anxiety and low artistic confidence. I knew exactly what was happening in my mind. I just couldn't seem to stop it.
Sound familiar?
Eventually I figured it out. I found focus, rebuilt my confidence, and got back to making work I'm genuinely proud of. Today I'm selling work, growing my community, and, most importantly, enjoying the journey again.
But here's what drove me to create the Creative Momentum Lab.
I kept meeting artists just like you, bright, talented, and passionate but quietly struggling with distraction, self-doubt, and a nagging feeling that they weren't living up to their own creative potential. Just like I used to.
So I decided to do something about it.
Creative Momentum Lab brings together everything I've learned, personally and through my years in psychology, into short, practical courses and honest conversations about the real challenges of creative life. Evidence-based tools delivered with warmth, humour, and the understanding of someone who has genuinely been where you are.
You can do this. I know because I did.
